This is great stuff. As a clinical therapist I understand the importance of talking someone privately and getting things off your chest. I never really thought about the confession in the catholic church as meeting this need. WOW - that gives me a new outlook on the church. Thanks
Dallas thanks for your comment. I am so glad that this has shined a new light onthe topic of confession. It's all about the priest pronouncing what is don't in heaven is done on earth. For me, it has been one of the greatest forms of spiritual warfare. When the devils reminds me of something I did, I can remind them I asked God to forgive me and the priest confirmed that what God did in heaven (heard me and forgave me) was done here on earth.
