It's all about the priest pronouncing what is don't in heaven is done on earth. For me, it has been one of the greatest forms of spiritual warfare. When the devils reminds me of something I did, I can remind them I asked God to forgive me and the priest confirmed that what God did in heaven (heard me and forgave me) was done here on earth.Joe Butlerhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/09541339043102007343noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-33363004.post-8230124101117030422009-12-19T22:23:32.019-05:002009-12-19T22:23:32.019-05:00This is great stuff. I never really thought about the confession in the catholic church as meeting this need. WOW - that gives me a new outlook on the church. Not my family, as for that isn't what we have in my family. So-that is my prayer-no matter what gets said-that they come to our amazing God...it was tough first coming to Him in my family..they would look at me weird and make strange comments about it. But they began to learn it wasn't changing-but He was changing me-and for good-along with helping me in my health. So I keep praying for more questions from them-until the day they are thrilled and run to Him too!
God bless you!

In His Grip,

Hetty

2 Corinthians 6: 1-2
"At just the right time I heard you,
On the day of salvation, I helped you."Hettyhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/11222934139158740344noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-33363004.post-11565845859299125662009-03-19T15:43:00.000-04:002009-03-19T15:43:00.000-04:00Great post! If I connect with God (in prayer and in His Word) as my first priority each day then I find that I have everything I need for that day. And by connect, I'm not talking about going through the motions. I mean staying there in His presence and in His Word until His peace and guidance settles you, refreshes you and rejuvenates you. Doing God's work without spending time with Him, seeking Him and desiring to know Him is a contradiction and it will lead to burnout every time. Many years ago, when I finally figured this out. I wrote a note for myself and put it up where I could see it daily. It said, "What is your number one priority in life?" (The answer, knowing God.) "Then what is your number one priority for today?" (The answer, spending time with Him.) When Elijah finally ran out of steam during his burnout experience God got His attention with His still small voice.Anonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-33363004.post-91842371089854069702009-03-18T23:05:00.000-04:002009-03-18T23:05:00.000-04:00That's a very good post. There is need for a lot of God's people to explore those values a lot deeper and to share their findings with one another and the culture at large. I think you will find there are lots of people who are excited about connecting with a group(s) who are headed in that direction. The challenge comes in communicating your heart in amazing ways to the burgeoning "Them."
Steve SjogrenAnonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-33363004.post-75025710904269631762008-05-25T02:18:00.000-04:002008-05-25T02:18:00.000-04:00I love cold coffee.I love hot coffee, too.I love f...I love cold coffee.
I love hot coffee, too.
I love fresh coffee.
I love old coffee day # two.
Iced coffee, spiced coffee
Everything nice coffee.
Now I look forward to trying this brew.Anonymoushttps://www.blogger.com/profile/07535986348579318793noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-33363004.post-38565677315479379472008-05-25T02:10:00.000-04:002008-05-25T02:10:00.000-04:00I love cold coffee. Of course it also has a physical intention. Why don't we encourage one another through Advent and see how we do? If you ever join a gym you find it is very crowded just after Jan 1. All those good intentions are usually useless. Our intention can be offered for a variety of intercessions. If we walk together (virtually) through Advent maybe we can be successful. What do you think?
